Most might say that taking care of a Sprite is “a pain in the buttocks,” and those people are somewhat right. However, having Sprites that make stuff for you doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s your slave. Actually, mistreating your Sprite (by not chatting with it and rewarding it after it does something good) can lead to you LOSING your Sprite. The main Sprite that you created at the start of the game comes back in most cases, but other Sprites that you have “called upon” can leave you permanently.
Mounts
Another great thing about GF is that it has a huge diversity of mounts (flying and regular) to choose from, whether they are temporary mounts, which you have to continuously buy, or permanent mounts that you can have for as long as you want. Mounts include – Sunbird, Wolf, Mecha, Unicorn, Yak, Dragon, and lots more.
Your Journey into Grand Fantasia
Unlike many other games out there, you don't choose your class when you are creating your character. Everyone starts out in the same class, Novice. When you reach level 5 on Siwa Island, you are to complete a "job advancement" quest in order to move on to a new class, and no experience points can be gained until that quest is finished.
When you reach level 6, you are able to leave Siwa Island via the ferry and go into the "outside world." There are three destinations to choose from on that ferry;the Central City of Kaslow, the Machine City of Jale, and the Magic City of Ilya. Where to go doesn't really matter since they all have a pretty much equal amount of quests to be done. After boarding the ferry, you end up at a certain location that leads to the city you chose before. That being said, you get to complete many, many quests.
Final Verdict
Pros - Customization, and a huge selection of mounts; a great amount of quests, so there's no need for the feeling of grinding. A fun game that keeps you going.
Cons - The Sprites can be a pain to take care of, but it's not so bad; repetitive music.
Overall, Grand Fantasia is an extremely fun and addicting game to play. Whenever I log out, I feel like going back again to play! There are some things on this game that need to be worked on, but the North American Grand Fantasia game masters seem to be updating the game on a regular basis.
